Jeffrey Tan is Senior Product Manager of Global eTrade Services (GeTS) - a subsidiary of CrimsonLogic, a company with more than 28 years of experience and ‘know-how’ in trade facilitation; geographical footprint spans across Americas, Middle-East, Africa and Asia.
At the same time, Jeffrey is also an Executive Committee Member at SCS (Singapore Computer Society) SCM (Supply Chain Management) SIG (Special Interest Group), a SIG that works in tandem with the business community to learn and understand the different supply chain business and operational requirements and challenges, IT tools and technologies that may assist in overcoming challenges, and to enhance the productivity of their supply chain-leading business through technology innovations. Jeffrey has over 15 years of experience in smart cities, ports and logistics, applying technology to drive business innovation and operational excellence. In his current role, he is responsible for the development of innovative trade service products and market strategies for the logistics and supply chain industry.
Before joining GeTS, Jeffrey held regional and global roles in Ascendas-Singbridge (ASB), Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and PSA Corporation. He was spearheading projects in consultancy, planning, designing and implementing ports, logistics and facilities management solutions. One of the projects was Portnet® 2.0 for PSA Singapore Terminals - the world's first nationwide B2B port community solution that connects government agencies, authorities, customs, ports and the logistics community together using UN/EDIFACT standards.
Jeffrey obtained his certification in Professional Project Management (PMP®) and Business Analysis (CBAP®) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) respectively. He holds both a Bachelor of Computing Degree from the National University of Singapore and a Diploma in Computer Studies from the Ngee Ann Polytechnic of Singapore.
In 2016, Jeffrey published an article on Smart Port & Logistics in the Supply Chain Asia magazine and was invited to chair the Smart Logistics track at the IoT Show Asia 2016. Recently, Jeffrey was also invited to speak on Smart Cities & Smart Ports at the Africa Ports Evolution 2016 conference, Africa’s biggest maritime summit and expo.
