Oskar is Managing Director of Inspired-Search and co-Founder of the Inspired-Group. Inspired-Search is a global specialised executive search and interim management firm for Supply Chain and Logistics functions with offices in Europe, Singapore and Brasil. Oskar is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

As both an international entrepreneur and seasoned supply chain & logistics professional, Oskar brings wide-ranging search experience to a number of C-level supply chain assignments for both local and international large-scale listed companies. Besides being key in running both professional development programmes and activities and the day-to-day management of the organisation, Oskar primarily focuses on senior executive search assignments for both permanent and interim positions. His focus areas are the Netherlands, Europe and Asia, across all industries including logistics service providers and private equity.

Experience

With a business studies background, Oskar has held various senior positions in supply chain and logistics management. Notably, he was Director of Customer Operations Business at Telfort from the time of its inception, as well as being responsible for the EMEA operations when working at Dell. Subsequently he was responsible for the integration and operation of the EMEA operations for the IBM PC division within Lenovo. During his time in China he managed a large global logistics operation for a Chinese technology company. Oskar has spent a considerable amount of time abroad, including living in China, which has left him with a special interest in multicultural teams and business cultures.

Qualifications

Oskar holds a degree in business studies and has developed significantly as a leader throughout his professional life. He has constantly strived for operational excellence and nurtured a sharp mind for personal profiling and business management.

Activities and other interests

A regular speaker and thought leader, Oskar often contributes articles on supply chain and operations management. He actively maintains an international network of professionals and companies and is a practiced speaker, moderator and chairman of industry-specific conferences; for the last four years he was the chairman of the Asia-Pacific 3PL Summit & Chief Supply Chain Officer Forum in Singapore. Oskar also sits in a number of non-profit boards and in his spare time he is an active sportsman with an appetite for outdoor adventure activities.

John Chen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.

He began his logistics career at Phoenix International in Shanghai in an ocean freight procurement role. He would go on to lead the Shanghai customer service team and later their Ocean Export department. He relocated to Shenzhen as the General Manager in 2011 and joined C.H. Robinson following the Phoenix acquisition in 2012. He has served as the General Manager of the C.H. Robinson Hong Kong branch since 2013.

Ms Desmicht is Senior Director Corporate Supply Chain (CSC) Asia Pacific for Infineon and has been heading the organization ever since 2012. She is based in Singapore but her team is spread out over the Asia region. The CSC organization encompasses function along the whole Infineon supply chain with either a regional focus like the warehousing or a global focus like the product planning. Among other topics she recently supported the roll-out of a new S&OP framework as well as an automated scheduling solution for Infineon manufacturing plants. Beyond her role at Infineon she sits in the advisory committees of SUTD Engineering System Design pillar and NUS Industrial System Engineering faculty and is Director of the Board for the Green Freight Asia association.

Ms Desmicht is French, graduated as an engineer with a major in solid state physics and recently completed and Executive MBA program at the China European International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai. She started her career as Product Engineer/Program Manager within the Thales group, worked a few years in Altis Semiconductor as Front End yield manager, several years for Infineon China as Supply Chain Director. Prior her current appointment she was Director for Strategic Accounts at Amkor.

Andrew has built a 27 year career across the government, political and the private sectors with a focus on information technology, communications and trade compliance/facilitation.

Prior to establishing IOR Express he was responsible for managing importer/exporter of record functions across the Asia Pacific region for a global logistics company.

From 2007 to 2013 Andrew was Executive Manager, Growth Markets within IBM's Import Compliance Office with a focus on building relationships with Customs authorities in South America, Eastern Europe, Middle East/Africa and the Asia Pacific.

In this IBM Corporate Headquarters role Andrew also conducted extensive internal trade compliance reviews, education sessions and capacity building assessments in over 30 countries from Myanmar to Venezuela to the Czech Republic and helped build a network of 80 logistics professionals covering 100+ countries shipping $20 billion of goods annually.

During this period Andrew also Chaired the US-ASEAN Business Council's Customs Working Group where he coordinated a membership of over 30 companies across a range issues and industries and led an annual dialogue with ASEAN Customs Directors-General.

Prior to his trade compliance role in IBM Andrew spent 3 years as Director of Government Relations for IBM Australia/New Zealand. In this role he was the primary interface between IBM and all levels of Government in Australia across a range of policy and program issues such as investment incentives, IT procurement and Education and Skills initiatives.

Before joining IBM Andrew worked for 4 years in the Australian Parliament as an adviser to an Australian Senator and Cabinet Minister responsible for Communications and Information Technology where he focused on venture capital, IT investment and postal/courier industry reform issues.

Andrew's early career was spent in the Australian Government including in the Federal Departments of Finance and Communications, IT and the Arts. He commenced his career in the Australian Customs Service where he worked in a number of functions including Inland Revenue and Trade Measures (Dumping and Countervailing).

Andrew holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications and Post Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of Canberra and has had two articles on trade facilitation published in the World Customs journal.

Before joining GeTS, Jeffrey held regional and global roles in Ascendas-Singbridge (ASB), Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and PSA Corporation. He was spearheading projects in consultancy, planning, designing and implementing ports, logistics and facilities management solutions. One of the projects was Portnet® 2.0 for PSA Singapore Terminals - the world's first nationwide B2B port community solution that connects government agencies, authorities, customs, ports and the logistics community together using UN/EDIFACT standards.

Jeffrey obtained his certification in Professional Project Management (PMP®) and Business Analysis (CBAP®) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) respectively. He holds both a Bachelor of Computing Degree from the National University of Singapore and a Diploma in Computer Studies from the Ngee Ann Polytechnic of Singapore.

In 2016, Jeffrey published an article on Smart Port & Logistics in the Supply Chain Asia magazine and was invited to chair the Smart Logistics track at the IoT Show Asia 2016. Recently, Jeffrey was also invited to speak on Smart Cities & Smart Ports at the Africa Ports Evolution 2016 conference, Africa’s biggest maritime summit and expo.
